I have come to realize that there are three different speedruns when it comes to development
The first two items are fairly fast things. I tend to do my speedruns from scratch build context. For this, I am already on a somewhat stable development environment
For most of my Meta Quest speedruns I am already on a computer that has unity, rider, and scrcpy available. These speedruns are also on a machine that is set up with github and other account already set up. When creating a new project, whether it is OpenXR or Meta's plugin, there is only about ~15 minutes of development time from a non-existent project

The third speedrun is where a lot of tech eductation fails and flails. It seems like we can't decided if teaching someone how to use a platform is the same as teaching them platform agnostic skills. An analogy that may make partial sense is the idea of the mathematical calculator (the device we used to buy)
There was a worry in classrooms that the calculator was going to render our learners weaker - with a cohort of people promoting the opportunities that were unlocked by that same device. Now, I think that what didn't occur was someone promoting themselves for being certified in the TI-83 calculator.
What we have now is a tall and unspoken barrier around publishing tech creations. We have found ourselves teachign concepts without teaching the reality of publishing your work on platforms that are controlled by private companies.
This is quite a rambly post. I'll update it later! Let me know what your thoughts are on this draft by sending an email to team@eightbitcompany.com.
Keep creating!
